Our sites

This policy covers lostisland.com and the in-world websites for our projects (for example the Loose Bolts, Jibble, National Department of Robotics, S.T.A.R.R. and Fission Girl sites). Those sites are fiction; this policy is not.

Analytics

We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand which worlds and features people enjoy: pages viewed, time spent reading, audio played, buttons clicked and similar events. PostHog may store a cookie or local-storage identifier in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, our sites do not load analytics.

Email sign-ups

When you join a list on one of our sites (a notify-me form, the Fission Rangers, the Jibble Hostess Club, a petition or similar), we receive your email address, any optional name you give, the site and form you used, and a short technical record (time, page, browser type and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to prevent abuse). We store this on our own server and record the sign-up in PostHog. We use it to send occasional emails about Lost Island projects. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can write to us and we will remove you.

Our sites are intended for adults and teenagers. If you are under 13, please ask a parent to sign up for you.

Server logs

Our hosting and content delivery services can process technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, browser details and request times in operational logs. This helps deliver the sites, investigate errors and protect them from abuse.

Getting in touch

The contact link opens your email application. If you email us, we receive the address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to read and respond to your enquiry.

Links to other places

Links to PBN and other websites take you to separate services. Their own privacy practices apply when you visit them.

Your choices and questions
